01  Purpose & method

This audit is the source-of-truth record of the current site before anything moves. Pages captured verbatim on July 4, 2026: Home, Zipline Tours, 4×4 Bronco Tours, FAQ (the four template archetypes), plus full navigation, footer, and booking deep-links from every capture. Remaining pages are documented from the site's own navigation and cross-checked against the Highline knowledge file and brand guide. Anything not directly verified is marked secondary in the inventory.

05  Template anatomy (page-by-page)

Every page on the site is one of five templates. Documenting the template documents the pages.

Home

Full-bleed video hero ("Epic Sights, Epic Flights" + BOOK NOW) → badge-logo statement band ("The Biggest And Fastest Ziplines in California!") → "Guaranteed Good Times" intro with badge logo → "Awaken the explorer." anchor-link band (Zipline · Adventure Park · Skynet · Protea) → "When was the last time you felt truly alive?" lead-in → four alternating activity feature rows, each with photo, price tag, imperative headline, ~3-sentence body, twin CTAs (BOOK NOW → Peek deep-link, LEARN MORE → detail page) → "Stay Local, Play Local" community block (slider; block repeats 3× in DOM — AUD-09) → "Get Here" directions block with static map.

Adventure detail (7 pages)

Video/photo hero with activity name + tagline + BOOK NOW → Tour Details bullet card (price, duration, group size, what happens) → Eligibility list → promo band (e.g. 15% zipline+park bundle) → Google review carousel (same 6 reviews sitewide) → photo gallery (8–16 images at /images/_ <activity>/) → safety section ("Innovated for Safety" / "You're in Good Hands" / "Timely Inspections") → Be Prepared checklist → cross-sell footer band (Discover the Area / Celebrations, Parties & More → group booking CTA). Bronco adds a per-page FAQ accordion; the pattern is inconsistent across the other six.

Events hub + 6 event pages

Mega-menu cards carry the canonical copy: Group ("Join 500+ successful teams…"), Team ("Transform Through Shared Adventure"), School ("Join 2,000+ Students…"), Corporate (currently reuses School copy — AUD-03), Wedding ("Say "I Do" to Adventure"), Birthday (Skynet Party Package, 2 h private). Each card's Get Started CTA bypasses /events/* and links to a legacy top-level URL (AUD-02).

FAQ

Four numbered sections — 01 General (arrival/check-in, waiver, belongings, photos), 02 Zipline (weights, attire, physical condition, pregnancy, medical, weather, ~18 accordion Q&As), 03 Adventure Park (eligibility list), 04 Protea Tour (eligibility list) — plus a reCAPTCHA contact form. Content here overlaps eligibility, cancellation, and reservation-policy pages; the overlap is where the contradictions live (§08).

Commerce & resource pages

E-Gift Cards and On Sale Now are thin wrappers around Peek products. Policy pages (cancellation, reservation, eligibility, privacy, mobile ToS, accessibility, donations, directions, news) are single-column text pages. Canonical policy content: all sales final; ≥48 h cancellations may reschedule or take store credit; bookings transferable; company weather cancellations → full refund or rain check; tours may pause up to 1 h for weather; no refunds for late/no-show.

06  Booking flow today (Peek)

Every conversion exits the site to Peek's hosted checkout. Deep-links found, one per product — these map 1:1 to Summit Guardian product IDs:

Post-purchase: Peek sends the confirmation email containing the e-waiver link; guests check in at Basecamp 10–15 min early, are discreetly weighed (zipline), attend ground school, ride the 4×4 to the summit. Guide-shot photos are sold on USB at the retail desk, with a Facebook check-in discount. Group bookings (>8) route to email. Promo codes (e.g. DADSDAY20) and punch passes exist in Peek and must carry over.

08  Findings — issues to fix in migration

ID Severity Finding
AUD-01HighEvery conversion exits to a third party (Peek). No native checkout, no owned customer records, conversion tracking breaks at the handoff. This is the core migration driver.
AUD-02HighDuplicate routes: activities live at /adventures/* but body links use legacy top-level paths; Events submenu points to /events/* while mega-menu CTAs point to six different legacy URLs. Splits SEO equity and analytics.
AUD-03MedCorporate Events menu card reuses School Adventure body copy ("…Join 2,000+ Students…") under a corporate headline.
AUD-04HighZipline capacity contradicts itself: "maximum of 12 guests" (zipline page) vs 8-person full tours and >8 group threshold (FAQ, bronco footer). Operational number must be settled before it seeds Summit Guardian inventory.
AUD-05MedGround school is "10 minutes" in two places and "15 minutes" in two others.
AUD-06MedPhone/camera policy contradicts itself within the same FAQ: lanyard rentals + guide photo service vs "Cameras/phones are not permitted on the trip."
AUD-07HighPrice drift across channels: zipline $140 on site vs $139/$146/$175 in third-party and older material; Protea $65 vs $50. Summit Guardian must become the single price authority feeding the site.
AUD-08MedCopy-paste artifacts: zipline "Timely Inspections" repeats the guide-training paragraph verbatim; bronco "Be Prepared" says tours last 1.5–2 h on a 2.5 h product.
AUD-09LowHomepage "Stay Local, Play Local" block duplicated 3× in the DOM (slider markup).
AUD-10MedJoomla email cloaking leaks "This email address is being protected from spambots…" into visible copy in the FAQ and bronco footer.
AUD-11MedSEO: one generic meta description reused sitewide; og:type "article" everywhere; og:title "Home" on the homepage; no per-product structured data.
AUD-12LowRaw XML sitemap URL and CMS /login exposed in the public footer nav.
AUD-13LowCopy mechanics: "Highland Adventures" (FAQ), "areas natural surroundings", "et us know", "inbetween", stray punctuation in the Protea blurb. Full list to be swept during content entry.
